I started playing drums about 9 years ago. I kinda got thrown into the music scene very early playing out with my band "American Amnesia". Started jamming in bars when I was about 14-15, and played just about anywhere we could get up and go to. Growing up solely with Rock/Metal/Hardcore, pushed me to really want to make everything I was hearing. Driven by focused colleagues and unrelenting support, I've been able to create a sound and vibe specific to only me and DarkWood.
I began mixing seriously about 5 years ago in my tiny bedroom studio loosely dubbed as "Dead Space Studios". I currently play drums in American Amnesia, Pure Filtered Hatred, Roots Of Deception, and play guitar in Carotid.
Having played in bands, and been around toxic people in the industry, I feel I have a level of awareness and perspective that it takes to make poignant, timeless records in the ever turbulent music industry.
The approach I take I feel is more old school. Being sure to inject the air and clarity needed for a modern sounding mix, while amplifying the character of the source by marrying analog and digital mixing styles. I'm always trying to get the best performance out of my artists, because I feel it is of upmost importance. So anything in my power I usually do for comfortablility.
No good performance, No good mix.
